John B Zoe is a member of the Tłı̨chǫ community and works with Dedats’eetsaa: the Tłı̨chǫ Research & Training Institute to lead a knowledge-to-action project in Mǫwhì Gogha Dè Nı̨ı̨tłèè, the land covered by the Tłı̨chǫ Agreement. The project explores the social and cultural impacts of the loss of caribou harvesting and investigates transformative responses through six key inquiries, including traditional knowledge, food security, youth cultural identity, elders and ecosystem distress, culturally appropriate healthcare, and economic analyses of land- and cash-based systems. Through this research, John B provides mentorship and opportunities for students and learners to participate in research and knowledge-sharing activities.
